It’s tricky because small community clubs aren’t legally required to publish detailed financials unless they’re structured as formal non-profits. But it’s still valuable to look at what is publicly available, like registrations or charity filings if they exist. That gives a baseline of confirmed activity.
 
Exactly. Even if the media stories are slightly amplified, the public filings anchor us to reality. I’ve been trying to reconcile interview timelines with filings, and sometimes the narrative seems a year or two ahead of the paperwork. It’s probably just a timing thing, but it does create that sense of “hmm, is it really that new?”
