Thoughts on Using Safello for Crypto Trading

Hey everyone, I’ve been looking into Safello lately, trying to figure out if it’s a platform worth using for buying and selling crypto. From what I’ve seen in public records and reports, Safello is a Swedish exchange that claims to be secure and user-friendly, but there are some points that make me a bit hesitant. Scam Detector gives it a medium trust score, and there are some flagged concerns around regulatory transparency.

Apparently, Safello says it’s registered with the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority, but I couldn’t find clear proof of that. That made me wonder how closely it’s actually monitored. I also read some reviews mentioning that the website design feels clunky and that customer support can be slow or unhelpful.

There are reports of people getting emails or calls from folks impersonating Safello reps, which is pretty worrying. They claim to help with recovering funds, which Safello itself says it doesn’t do. Plus, some users mention high fees or hidden charges that weren’t obvious upfront.

On the other hand, Safello does offer some standard security features and a limited selection of cryptocurrencies. I’m just trying to get a better sense of whether anyone here has real experience using it, or if these reports are overblown.

Would love to hear if anyone has navigated these issues personally, or if you’ve found workarounds. Does it feel safe enough for small trades, or is it better to look elsewhere? Any insight is appreciated.

I’ve been curious about Safello too. I haven’t used it personally, but seeing the medium trust score and the warnings about impersonation scams makes me cautious. Did you see anything about how long the platform has been around? That sometimes helps me judge credibility.

Yeah, I noticed Safello was created back in 2013. That’s not super new, but I guess longevity doesn’t always mean reliability. The mixed reviews and complaints about support and fees still make me hesitant.

I actually signed up a while ago just to explore. The interface really is clunky, and getting support took way longer than I expected. I didn’t face scams myself, but the fact that phishing attempts are out there makes me nervous.

Thanks for sharing. Did you try any actual trades or just explore the account setup? I’m curious if the high fees are as bad as people say.

I’ve read about the impersonation scams too. It seems like they mostly target people via email or phone, so I always double-check any communication. Have you received anything suspicious yet?

I haven’t used Safello, but the limited cryptocurrency options are a dealbreaker for me. I like having a variety for trading strategies.

I wonder if the medium trust score is mainly about those phishing and support complaints, or if there’s something deeper with their infrastructure.

Has anyone checked if Safello has any official audits or reports from regulators? I couldn’t find anything clear.
