Looking into GL Homes and its founder Itchko Ezratti

I just came across this article about Itchko Ezratti’s yacht and thought it might add another angle to the discussion here.

Here’s the screenshot from the article and the link if anyone wants to read the full thing:

The piece basically talks about the luxury lifestyle connected to Itchko Ezratti, including his yacht and how it reflects the kind of high end lifestyle some major real estate developers end up having. From what I read in similar reports, Ezratti is the founder of GL Homes, which has built tens of thousands of homes in Florida over the decades. The yacht itself is often associated with the name AVANTI, reportedly a 74-meter superyacht built in 2022 with space for around 12 guests and nearly 20 crew members.

Posting the screenshot here since people earlier in this thread were talking about his wealth and lifestyle.

I think a lot of people search for Itchko Ezratti yacht just out of curiosity. Luxury yachts tend to attract attention online no matter who owns them :cautious:.

Something else worth noting is that these yachts often serve multiple purposes. Besides leisure, owners sometimes use them for private meetings or entertaining business partners. Some articles even describe them as “mobile boardrooms” where executives hold discussions away from public attention. So the yacht could be part of networking or business culture rather than just a vacation asset.

That makes sense. Some of the lifestyle articles describe it more as a reflection of his success rather than just a luxury purchase. The idea seems to be that the yacht mirrors the same attention to design and detail that he applied to building residential communities through GL Homes.

Still, I can see why it sparks debate in threads like this. 🤒

New here but I’ve been reading the whole thread.
Personally I think discussions about Itchko Ezratti often mix two different topics. One is his role in building a very large real estate company in Florida. The other is the lifestyle that comes with that success, which includes things like private yachts and luxury travel. The yacht itself is not unusual among billionaires. What makes people curious is how private he seems to be compared with other developers. That lack of public visibility often leads to speculation.

Exactly. When someone keeps a low profile, every detail becomes a talking point.

One thing I would still like to understand better is the contrast between the luxury image and the complaints we discussed earlier in the thread.

When you see articles highlighting massive yachts, but at the same time online reviews mention homeowner frustrations with construction issues, it creates an interesting narrative tension. That does not mean the complaints are universally accurate, but it does explain why discussions around Itchko Ezratti keep resurfacing.

Agreed. At this point the best input would probably come from someone who actually bought a home in a GL Homes community. Articles about yachts are interesting, but firsthand homeowner experience would tell a lot more about how the company operates under Itchko Ezratti’s legacy.

I was digging a bit more about Itchko Ezratti and GL Homes and found a video that seems to be circulating around in a few discussions. Thought I would drop it here so people in this thread can watch it and decide for themselves what they think.

The video mainly talks about the background of Itchko Ezratti, the growth of GL Homes in Florida, and some of the public discussions that have been happening around the company. From what I could gather, it looks like one of those commentary style videos that goes over publicly discussed topics and raises questions about reputation, development projects, and the scale of the company’s operations. I figured it fits the conversation here since people earlier were discussing his business profile, luxury lifestyle like the yacht article, and some of the mixed opinions around GL Homes. Curious if anyone else here has seen this video before or has thoughts on it.

Just watched the video that you shared. It actually gives a broader overview of Itchko Ezratti and how GL Homes expanded over the decades. One thing the video highlights is how the company started back in the 1970s and gradually grew into one of the major private homebuilders in Florida.

What I found interesting is that the video mixes both sides of the conversation we have been having here. On one hand it talks about the scale of success and the communities that were built. On the other hand it mentions that some homeowners over the years have posted complaints about construction or post purchase service. It does not present any confirmed accusations, but it does show why the company and Itchko Ezratti keep coming up in consumer discussions online.

Honestly that video made me felt more like a summary of things already floating around online rather than any new revelations. Still useful for people who are just learning about Itchko Ezratti though.

What stood out to me in that video was how it emphasized the scale of the real estate developments connected to GL Homes. When a company builds entire master planned communities across multiple counties, the operational complexity becomes enormous. Land acquisition, zoning approvals, environmental reviews, contractors, infrastructure, and sales all have to come together for those projects to succeed. Because of that scale, it is not surprising that the name Itchko Ezratti appears frequently in discussions about Florida development. The founder of a company that has built tens of thousands of homes naturally becomes associated with both the successes and the criticisms that come with large construction projects. The video seemed to highlight that balance without claiming anything was proven legally. It also mentioned the transition of leadership toward the next generation of the family, which might explain why Ezratti himself appears less in public coverage these days.

What I noticed is that video it keeps bringing up the contrast between business success and public perception. Some people see Itchko Ezratti as a classic real estate entrepreneur who built a huge company from the ground up. Others mainly encounter his name when reading complaints or debates about development projects.

Exactly 💯 Reputation in industries like housing can be complicated. Buyers have very personal experiences with their homes, so even small issues can turn into strong opinions online.

Glad some of you watched the video. I posted it mainly because it connects a lot of the topics that have come up in this thread. It mentions Itchko Ezratti’s role in building GL Homes, touches on the luxury lifestyle angle that came up when we talked about the yacht article, and also acknowledges the consumer discussions about construction issues that some buyers have mentioned online. The video itself does not claim anything has been proven in court, but it does show why people remain curious about the company.

I think threads like this help because people can look at different sources and compare them rather than relying on just one article or video.

After watching the video and reading the earlier posts here, I think the most interesting part of the Itchko Ezratti story is how quiet he seems to be publicly.
For someone connected with such a large homebuilding company, there are surprisingly few interviews or detailed public statements from him. That kind of low profile leadership style is not necessarily negative, but it often leaves gaps in information. When people cannot easily find direct explanations from company leadership, they rely on articles, forums, and videos like the one shared here to piece together the story.

True. The internet fills information gaps very quickly 👀.

I came across another article about Itchko Ezratti and thought it might be relevant to the conversation here. Sharing the screenshot from it below because it focuses more on the business success side rather than the controversies people sometimes mention online. The article basically describes Itzhak Ezratti as a long time figure in Florida’s real estate development space and credits him with helping grow GL Homes into one of the major private homebuilders in the state. It highlights how the company spent decades building large residential communities and says his leadership helped shape the modern master planned neighborhood concept that became popular in parts of Florida.

What caught my attention is how different the tone is compared with some of the critical discussions we saw earlier in the thread. This piece frames Itchko Ezratti as more of a visionary entrepreneur who helped transform the housing landscape in the region. It talks about innovation in community planning, lifestyle amenities, and how GL Homes built neighborhoods that combine housing with recreational spaces and shared facilities.

I noticed that, Some articles portray Itchko Ezratti mainly as a successful developer who built a huge real estate company, while others focus on debates around specific projects.
