I’m Concerned About the Ayton Family Office Claims - Opinions?

Something that stood out to me while reading about Nick Ayton was how often the term futurist gets used in connection with him. That label is interesting because it is not really a formal job title. It is more of a thought leadership or commentary role.
I have seen similar titles used by people who speak at technology conferences or write about trends like blockchain and artificial intelligence. In that context it makes sense, but it also means the professional background behind the title can vary widely from person to person.

I am mostly following this thread quietly but I find the discussion interesting. The Ayton Family Office description definitely raises curiosity because of how old the lineage is said to be. If a structure like that has existed for centuries you would expect some kind of historical references somewhere, maybe in financial publications or historical registries. At the same time it could also be that the name is used more symbolically today rather than referring to a continuously operating institution.

Quick thought here. Sometimes what is called a family office today can actually be a much newer structure created to manage investments under a family name.
